Amazing Project Aiko Robot ( When science meets beauty ) !!

Amazing Project Aiko Robot ( When science meets beauty ) !!

To personify an object and make it feel real, the first thing it requires is a name. To make my robot human, she needed a name that would make people believe she exists. It took me nearly two weeks to finally decide on just the right name – Aiko. Aiko (愛子) means “beloved one” in Japanese. I wanted the world to be able to connect with her human-likeness and at the same time not feel threatened by her technology. I am not sure if subconsciously I chose this name because it was the name of one of my childhood friends. I remember my friend was kind and always there for me. Unfortunately, I have lost contacted with her since I moved to Canada from Japan when I was 8 years old. Aiko cannot ever replace my friend, but I hope that this technology will help others feel comfort and support the way my friend did for me.

Aiko's Secret

Height 152cm Bust: 82cm Waist: 57cm Hip: 84cm
Height 5 ft Bust: 32" Waist: 23" Hip: 33"
Even though it only took 1.5 months to build Aiko’s exterior, the B.R.A.I.N.S software running Aiko was a work in progress for many years.

Aiko's future abilities:
-Facial Expressions
-Make tea and coffee
-Feed me sushi
-Make simple breakfast: eggs and bacon
-If I lie my head down on Aiko lap, have her clean my ears with a Q-tip.
-Ability to massage my shoulders and neck.
-Able to do print and write
-Clean the windows
-Dust the shelves
-Clean my toilet. (I hate cleaning the bathroom, might as well have someone else do it for me)
-Aiko made her debut in 2007 at the Ontario Science Center and HobbyShow
